Early Un-Dated map of columbia

This un-dated map of Columbia, Missouri shows the location of Missouri University in relation to the downtown area of Columbia. Professor Almstedt's home was in the Westmount area of town at the southwest,

This nicely notated map from 1915 shows the proximity of the University to Broadway Street. Running to the west from the western edge of university grounds is Maple Street with "xxxxx" notations where the Stewart Bridge was positioned over the MKT Railroad tracks.

Primarily showing the eastern half of Columbia, this 1917 map features a list of the restaurants that are close to University grounds. Harris' Cafe, the location for Walter Williams weekly roundtable with Columbia's elites is located at 16 South Ninth Street.

From Courthouse Square to Stewart Bridge (including the route the mob took after abducting Scott from his jail cell).
